Service — Maintenance

A website is not a one-off project. Promiq Agency keeps yours current, secure and fast — updates, backups, monitoring and content changes, so it is not something you have to think about.

What website maintenance covers

Maintenance is everything needed to keep a site in good shape after launch. It starts technically: updating the framework and the packages underneath it, applying security updates, and checking that everything still behaves once those updates land.

Alongside that we keep the practical side in order — working forms, email that arrives, links that do not dead-end, images that still load and text that is still accurate. Small changes such as a new phone number, different opening hours or an extra service are simply part of it.

Why maintenance is not optional

Software ages. A site that has not been touched for a year runs on packages with publicly known vulnerabilities, and that is exactly what automated attacks look for. Updates are the cheapest security you can buy.

Silent failures cost money too. A contact form that has quietly delivered nothing since a mail change only surfaces when a customer calls to ask why nobody replied. Monitoring catches that kind of thing before you notice it.

It also counts for visibility. Search engines see slow pages, error responses and broken links, and that feeds into how the site is assessed. Maintenance keeps that foundation sound.

How we run maintenance

We agree per site what is needed and how often. After that the work runs to a fixed rhythm: check, update, test, and report back on what was done.

You have one point of contact throughout. Changes are passed on however suits you — by email or over WhatsApp — and you hear back when they are live. No ticket system for your request to disappear into.

What the maintenance includes

You put together what you need. These are the parts on offer.

01

Software updates

Framework, packages and dependencies brought up to date, with a check afterwards that everything still works.

02

Security

Security updates, correct HTTPS settings and security headers that make abuse harder.

03

Backups

Regular backups of the site and its data, with an agreed retention period and a restore procedure.

04

Uptime monitoring

Monitoring that reports when the site is unreachable, so it can be acted on before customers call.

05

Performance monitoring

Periodic measurements of load time and Core Web Vitals, with concrete fixes when things slow down.

06

Content changes

Text, prices, opening hours, photos and new pages updated without you having to go into the system.

07

Bug fixes

Faults that appear after an update or a browser change are traced and resolved.

08

Technical checks

Forms, email handling, internal links and error pages are reviewed on a regular basis.

09

Reporting

A short summary of what was updated, what stood out and what is recommended next.

How the maintenance works

From a first assessment to a rhythm you no longer have to think about.

01

Baseline check

We review the current state of the site: updates, speed, security, forms and error responses.

02

Agreement

You choose what the maintenance covers and how often we come by. That is fixed in writing at a fixed price.

03

Ongoing maintenance

Updates, backups, checks and the changes you send through are carried out to that rhythm.

04

Reporting and advice

You hear what was done and what will need attention later — before it turns into a problem.

Frequently asked questions about website maintenance

Do you maintain websites that Promiq did not build?

Yes, provided we can get technical access to the site and the hosting. We start with a baseline check so you know what state the site is in before anything is agreed.

What happens if my site goes offline?

With monitoring in place we are alerted as soon as the site becomes unreachable. We trace where it went wrong — hosting, domain, certificate or the application itself — bring it back up and tell you what caused it.

Can I take content changes only?

You can. Some clients handle updates themselves and only want us to change text, photos and pages. We agree a fixed volume per period for that.

How often are backups made?

That is set per site and depends on how often the content changes. A site taking orders daily needs a different frequency than a company site that changes a few times a year.

What does website maintenance cost in Suriname?

It depends on the size of the site and on what you take. You get a fixed amount per period based on a clear list, so nothing appears on the bill unannounced.

Is maintenance included with a new website?

A new site is delivered in good shape and we stay available afterwards. Ongoing maintenance is agreed separately, so you only pay for what you genuinely need.
